iTE Teacher Education ScholarshipsThe iTE seeks to acknowledge the work of educators and pre-service teachers by awarding scholarships for excellence.Each year, the iTE awards FOUR scholarships to preservice teachers:iTE Scholarship for a student at Charles Sturt UniversityAstrid and John Perdriau Scholarship for a student at Southern Cross UniversityPaul Stewart Scholarship for a student at Newcastle UniversityRuth and Peter Thompson Scholarship for a student at the Australian Catholic UniversityStudents will self-nominate and must be in the 3rd or 4th year of their teacher training course with the intention of becoming a teacher of Technology. They must have obtained a passing grade in all subjects within the course. There is no limit to the number of applicants per university, but there will only be one prize per university awarded. Students need to provide:
The scholarship winner from each university will receive a prize of $2000 and a complimentary ticket to attend all Five events of the 2026 iTE Technology Education Conference. The awards are presented at iTE Technology Education Conference during the Thursday night Conference Dinner. Winning students will be asked to read their 'Philosophy of Education’ after receiving their award. Nominations must be made using the iTE President’s email address president@iiate.asn.au by 11th September 2026 to be considered by the Awards Team |
